Spears Art Studio

"Teach your children art from a Biblical World view.

Spears Art Studio, Inc. offers fine art and Christian art curriculum kindergarten through high school, for private & homeschool Christian art education, supporting the grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric stages of Classical education". This is how the Spears Art Studio describes itself!

This is a wonderful program that even a novice "art teacher" can use. So very easy to understand and implement. You get a CD with the entire program on it. Print any or all the lessons you want for as many children as you may have in your "class". The program covers all 4 seasons, all the holidays with something special to work on (except for Halloween - these are all Autumn projects).

Starting out the week with a Bible lesson the goes along with the art lesson for the week. For example: for the spring lesson it talks about wind and water. The Bible lessons go into the water of Baptism and how as the Holy Spirit entered the room with the disciples it sounded like the "rush of the wind" and goes on to explain more. It is truly a Christian based program.

There are many types of art medium used. Pencils (colored, charcoal, and the different types of drawing pencils). Oil pastels. Tempura paints. Even using India Ink.

Techniques are taught in shading, shape, stippling, lines, shadow, and much much more. You and your child/ren will come out as "artists". If you have a budding artist that could use some more training but you can afford a professional tutor nor do you want to dual enroll them in public school just for art class.....then this program is for you.

Go to http://www.spearsartstudio.com/ There are a few FREE art lessons for you to try out. There are 2 programs - one for K-8th grade and the other is for High School. I highly recommend this program for any homeschooler or homeschool co-op. You can't go wrong.

Your students will thank you and can't wait for art class!

God's Blessings
Vickie
